The Intercultural Centre’s recognition "Vel ad verki stadid" presented today

The president of Iceland, Mr. Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, today presented Halldór Ho, Edda Ólafsdóttir and Móðurmál (Mother Tongue) with the Intercultural Centre’s recognition "Vel að verki staðið" for commendable work regarding immigrant affairs in Iceland.

The recognition was presented for the sixth time and is intended to attract attention to the great work that has been done in Iceland on issues concerning immigrants. The recognition was presented in three categories; to an individual of foreign decent who has contributed to society, to an Icelander who has contributed to immigrants in Iceland and to a company, organization or institution for its contribution to society.
