Tax time is getting closer
Have you received your salary overview (launamiði) for the year? This is an annual statement prepared by your employer and is necessary when filing your income tax return. If you have not received it talk to your boss.
Sometime in the beginning of March you will receive an envelope in the mail from the Internal Revenue (RSK). The envelope will have the information you need to file your income tax return and your internet password for on-line filing. This information is sent home to your legal address so make sure that you have your legal address properly registered.
Income tax returns must be filed by March 23rd. Watch www.ahus.is for information on our tax return services.
