Free Dental Clinic for children and youngsters
In the present economic situation, many families find themselves in financial difficulties. Sadly, experience shows that parents may be forced to economies on dental care and check-ups for their children. Government funding for children's dental care has been drastically reduced in recent years, and there is a grave risk that children and youngsters will experience dental decay and even discomfort in the present recession. Some may suffer permanent damage. Dentists have decided to give a helping hand to families affected by the recession, by offering free dental check-ups and treatment for children and youngsters. Families in financial difficulties are urged to seize this opportunity for free dental care for children and youngsters up to the age of 18. The Dental Clinic for children and youngsters is a joint undertaking by the Icelandic Dental Association and the University of Iceland Faculty of Odontology. The Dental Clinic will be open on the premises of the University of Iceland Faculty of Odontology, Tanngarður, on Saturdays 18 April, 9 May and 23 May, from 10.00 to 13.00. Appointments cannot be made, but arrangements are made to keep waiting time reasonable. Further information from the University of Iceland Faculty of Odontology, tel. 525 4850
