Reykjavik Safari
Where are the museums and libraries? The theatres? Any interesting exhibitions?
On Thursday, July 10th at 8 pm you can take a guided walking tour of downtown Reykjavík where the cultural life in the city centre will be introduced with a bit of history mixed in. You can choose if you want to join an english, spanish or polish speaking guide. The walks take about an hour, after which all three groups meet at the Reykjavík Art Museum for an intercultural get-together with some music, a cup of coffee and a light snack. Sverrir Norland, poet, songwriter and "poet laureat" of the youth culture house "Hitt húsið", will perform with his guitar, harmonica and voice.
The walks take off from Reykjavík City Library in Tryggvagata 15. They are free of charge and no booking is needed. The program is hosted by Reykjavik City Library, The Reykjavik Art Museum, City Museum and the Reykjavik Museum of Photography.

Friends of Tibet movie night
Friends of Tibet will have their first movie night Thursday July 3d at Kaffi Hljómalind. They will be showing the internationally acclaimed film Kundun by Martin Scorsese at 8PM. The movie night is a free event. After the movie there will be an open discussion about Tibet.
